Tomb Rider
The long awaited film, Tomb Rider is finally out in US as well as in Australia. But the question is ... DOES IT LIVE UP TO ITS EXPECTATIONS ? ... and the answer would be YES, because the expectations were never set very high for this film.
Tomb Rider is set in London and a few other locations such as Egypt and tombs. The main character, Lara Croft (Angelina Jolie) is a Tomb Rider with great combat skills and looks :) .
Lara's father has been dead for some time, and she is desperetly seeking a way to meet him again some day, since she had a great relationship with him. But that's enough about the story.
TR is a great film with some interesting fighting elements and special effects. I must admit that the directors could fit some really cool MATRIX effects in TR, but they didn't, which I think is a good think because too many new film are using this effects this days, and it doesn't make them very original. There are many different special effects which are nothing special, but also nothing I could have complained about.
The music fits the atmosphere and fighting/shooting scenes very well as well, but specially the scene where ****POSSIBLE SPOILER, FOR SOME PLL ... highlight >>>Lara is being attacked in her hose, while training on the lines>>>> this scene was so cool.
I recommend this film for any Lara / Angelina / Tomb Rider fan and I'm sure these people won't be disappointed. It is worth noting that TR is a bit far fetched, and that Lara Croft is a major Smart Ass, which doesn't have mean it's a bad thing.
